“It’s my goal to practice a healthy lifestyle through good nutrition, exercise, a healthy environment, and continued spiritual growth. I strive to help clients with their health concerns by addressing what works for them. Life is a journey, and we need to have heart in our path.” —Michelle Wohlfarth, HLK Founder
Founder of The Healthy Living Kitchen, Michelle Wohlfarth is a Holistic Health Educator and Certified Integrative Nutrition Coach. She created The Healthy Living Kitchen in 2005 to follow her passion for cooking wholesome food, caring for the earth, and keeping all things in their natural order. Her mantra is, “eating healthy is easy,” and her mission is to live joyfully and to assist others in achieving the life they desire, one small step at a time.
She earned Certification in Food Therapy in 2011 from The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in New York City, where she studied under the Institute’s founder, Annemarie Colbin, Ph.D. Her certification complements credentials as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York in 2004, and her completion of the Master Chef Series under Chef Peter Berley, at the Natural Gourmet Institute in 2009. Michelle’s objective is to use food therapies in a way that supports a whole health practice and offers clients practical ways to make changes that favor health and well-being.
The study of Plant Science and French as an undergraduate at The University of New Hampshire led Michelle on the path to study culinary and medicinal herbs. After 15 years of practicing on her family, she pursued a Certificate in Herbal Studies in 2003 from Mt. Nittany Institute in State College, PA. She continues to apply her knowledge of herbs in cooking, and in healing the body, mind, and spirit, as well as integrating her knowledge of healing with whole foods.
As a Health Coach, it is very important for Michelle to hear what clients have to say on a deeper level. Knowing that many people are looking for care which encompasses their medical background as well as the whole-person perspective, she works in conjunction with medical practitioners to assist each and every person to a higher quality of life.
